The Life of a Freelance Makeup Artist

The end of next month will mark a year since I have been a full-time freelance makeup artist. I must admit it has not been all fun and games, but I know I have been blessed to be able to last this long. Determination and sacrifice is the name of the game. My first few weeks of going freelance, I worked on the set of the Tabi Bonney video "In the Pocket" and on an independent film, "Canon" (by Jaben Early). Full time freelancing, you have to have your ear to the ground and perfect your networking game. There have been plenty days of sitting home and researching online for jobs and being down and out. Now, I have come to appreciate those days - breaks. These are what I call my weekends. I'm just getting into this blogging thing, so stay tuned......
